If the Companion did not capture your action, the Mission stays waiting instead of showing Ready to verify. Common causes are below.
You acted on a different post. Only the exact LinkedIn publication listed in the Mission counts, and interactions on any other post are ignored.
The engagement already existed. An action that was already active before the Mission started cannot count as new evidence, and the Companion shows an orange attention state for it.
The action was not one of the required actions. Only the requested actions, Like, Comment or Repost, are captured, and a comment must contain text to count.
You were not signed in to LinkedIn, or you used a different browser or profile where the Companion is not installed.
Reposts always need owner review. The Companion flags repost evidence for manual review instead of automatic verification.
To recover, confirm the toolbar is green or idle, open the exact Mission post from the Mission details page, perform the action there, and wait for the popup to show Captured. If evidence still is not detected, use Mark complete on the Mission details page to submit your participation for the owner's manual review.
